Quality of life in Toronto worsened, says a survey.
A survey was conducted in the City of Toronto between August 28 to September 18 which was commissioned by the city to find out how the residents felt about their quality of life and services offered to them.
The survey reported that half of Toronto residents said that the quality of life has worsened since last year. Meanwhile, 40 per cent of residents said they are not feeling safe in the city anymore.
The leading reasons behind the bad feedback are rooted from the issues of high housing cost and mortgages, and worsened traffic and congestion in the city.
City Manager Paul Johnson said, these issues were identified as top concerns and will be given priority in the 2025 budget.
In terms of cleanliness, almost 60 per cent expressed they were “satisfied.”
